Christmas – what kind of thing it is? 2008-12-15, 16:57:31 Lina Januškevičiūtė
"Mom, I want this car for Christmas! Or maybe that robot!" – that's what I heard in the shop this morning. And I thought – what is Christmas for us today? Is this only a presents buying mania, or something bigger?
A young girl says, that Christmas for her is just a seasonal festival. "I don't like Christmas, because it is in winter – I hate snow, and I think that life would be better without them." Looks like some people aren't so happy about the coming festivals...
Middle- age man has another opinion about Christmas. "I like to make people happier, and Christmas... This is the perfect time to do that! I like to see happy faces, when I give one or another original present. It's fantastic feeling."
And if you ask me, I would say, that Christmas for me is a time of joy, generosity and friendship. There is no better feeling than sitting with your family, talking about the world and giving hugs and kisses for them. I think that Christmas is a time to be friends with all in the world.
All in all, we have to say, that we have the kind of Christmas we want. It depends on ourselves.
